About Sedum 'Golden Glow' / Sedum adolphi 'Golden Glow'

Sedum 'Golden Glow' belongs to the genus Sedum in the Sedum family and is native to Mexico. It has shorter stems, thicker leaves with smaller tips, compact, rosette-shaped leaves with green centers and yellow-green tips. It looks crystalline and small, with a jelly-like texture.

How to care for Sedum 'Golden Glow' / Sedum adolphi 'Golden Glow'

Sun/Temperature: Sedum 'Golden Glow' prefers a sunny environment where the edges of the leaves turn a beautiful red color. Although it can also grow in low light, the color will be duller and the stems will be longer. In summer it needs to be kept out of direct sunlight. The optimum growing temperature for Sedum 'Golden Glow' is about 60℉ to 80℉ . The plant will gradually go dormant when temperatures exceed 86℉ in the summer or fall below 40℉ in the winter.

Soil/Watering/Pot: Well-ventilated soil and pots with drainage holes are more suitable for Sedum 'Golden Light'. During periods of full sun, such as summer, you can water four to five times a month. However, during periods of low sunlight, such as winter, water as little as possible. Water only when the soil is completely dry, taking care to avoid standing water and making sure that water does not splash on the leaves and stems when watering. Because if direct sunlight in there is water left in the leaves will be easy to form sun spots. In addition, high temperature and humidity without ventilation residual moisture will be prone to the formation of diseases and pests.

Ventilation: Regular ventilation allows the plant to build up its resistance to the many pests and diseases.

Repotting: In order to make Sedum 'Golden Glow' burst faster, it is recommended to repot it and change the soil every one or two years. It's best to do this in the spring and to carefully trim away any diseased or aging roots. After pruning the roots, it's important to wait for the wounds to heal before replanting to avoid fungal infections.

Fertilizer: Sedum 'Golden Glow' has low nutrient requirements, so you can choose to use diluted liquid fertilizer for occasional fertilization. However, be careful not to let the fertilizer come into contact with the leaves in conditions of high fertilizer concentration, poor ventilation, or direct sunlight!
