About x Sedeveria 'Shangri-La'

It's said that x Sedeveria 'Shangri-La' is a combination variant of Sedum clavatum and Echeveria 'Chanel'. The succulent, featured with a lotus shape and long-oval plump foliage, is easy to cluster, making its branches grow into succulent trees. Its leaves are colored green with pink apexes in a normal state. Shangri-La, symbolizing a place like Utopia where people yearn, adds more mysterious orient elements to the succulent.

How to care for x Sedeveria ‘Shangri-La’

Sun/Temperature: When given enough sunlight and a great temperature swing, x Sedeveria 'Shangri-La' tends to be pinker and more crystal. Particularly, the succulent will also disperse a light good-smelling aroma with sufficient sunshine. The sun deficiency will cause the succulent's stalk to get leggy, and the shape will go flat. Furthermore, it's difficult for Shangri-La to resist solid ultraviolet rays and sunburn in summer for lacking sufficient frost on the foliage. Therefore, shades in summer are needed.

Location: Put your succulent indoors where it's bright but cool and ventilated in summer, such as tree shades, balcony, and windowsill. And be cautious of preventing the succulent from the rain pouring to avoid rotting.

Soil/Pot: To minimize the influence of disadvantageous cultivation factors, you should attach importance to the soil. Adding a higher percentage of granular media is better to provide enough breathing space for its roots. Cultivate your x Sedeveria 'Shangri-La' in a regular nursery pot when it's young and small. But it's worth noting that the succulent is easy to grow with long stalks and is full of pot, so you should repot it to a larger and higher planter prepared for succulent trees.

Watering: Shangri-La grows in spring and fall when adequate watering is essential. Soak your succulent after the soil almost dries out. But the water must be controlled within the ideal amount in summer or winter to resist rotting and freezing.

Winter shipping

We insist on shipping succulents to our customers all year round. However due to the extreme winter weather, although we pack succulents with as much protective material as possible, plants are still at increased risk of frost on their way to colder areas. We highly recommend adding one 72-hour heat pack to your order or you can request a hold on the package until it warms up.

Please note that The Next Gardener is not responsible for packages that suffer cold damage without a heat pack. We cannot control the weather. Order at your own risk.

Hawaii, Alaska, and Other US Territories

Fortunately, shipping is available to Alaska, Guam, and other U.S. Territories. However, due to numerous factors beyond our control, including customs checks and shipping delays, free shipping to Hawaii and Puerto Rico is not an option. And we can not provide the 14-day quality guarantee for orders going to Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The buyer will assume all risk of damage when a delivery is delayed. We appreciate your understanding.
