About Echeveria Spotted Deer

Echeveria Spotted Deer is an eye-catching ornament succulent belonging to the Echeveria genus in the Crassulaceae family. The flesh and plump ovate-shaped foliage filled with epicuticular wax and tipped with acuminate apex, forming the compact rosette, prone to grow dense branches into the cluster. The pale pinkish foliage bears the purple-reddish blood dapple when Echeveria Spotted Deer is happily stressed in winter. The front side leaf is slightly flat, while the back semicircle radian is curved. It is supposed that Sedum Clavatum is the parent plant of Echeveria Spotted Deer with similar appearance and growth habits. Therefore, the Echeveria Spotted Deer maintenance could be referred to as Sedum Clavatum.

How to care for Echeveria Spotted Deer

Sun/Location: Like most succulents, Echeveria Spotted Deer feels happy to absorb full sunshine to partial shade for at least 4-6 hours in the growing period. Place Echeveria Spotted Deer in a bright and sunny location to develop the optimal shape and color and avoid elongation or etiolation. Provide shade with a sheer curtain in summer to avoid sunburnt, and supply the artificial growth light in winter to defend against the server cold.

Soil/Pot: Echeveria Spotted Deer thrives in porous and ventilated potting soil with 70% grain materials such as perlite or pumice, evaporating the moisture smoothly to avoid rot roots. Repot in warm spring to upgrade the porosity and thrive happier. Use the tweezers to discard the dead leaves in the bottom, and wipe foliage gently with a clean paintbrush to keep Echeveria Spotted Deer looking her absolute best.

Watering: Overwater would kill your plants or cause them to develop mold and rot. Water thoroughly when the bottom leaves are soft and wrinkled, or the upper layer of potting soil is bone dry, called the soak-and-dry method. The immersive watering method is also recommendable if placed in a ventilated and breathable location. Pay attention to shelter in the rainy seasons.

Fertilizer: Echeveria Spotted Deer quickly generates side buds, making it essential to spray the slow-release fertilizer. It is recommended to use slow-release fertilizer once in spring and autumn to thrive. Place Echeveria Spotted Deer into the windowsill or any bright, shady areas just after fertilizing to help her to stay compact as this stunner enjoys the boost of nutrients.

Winter shipping

We insist on shipping succulents to our customers all year round. However due to the extreme winter weather, although we pack succulents with as much protective material as possible, plants are still at increased risk of frost on their way to colder areas. We highly recommend adding one 72-hour heat pack to your order or you can request a hold on the package until it warms up.

Please note that The Next Gardener is not responsible for packages that suffer cold damage without a heat pack. We cannot control the weather. Order at your own risk.

Hawaii, Alaska, and Other US Territories

Fortunately, shipping is available to Alaska, Guam, and other U.S. Territories. However, due to numerous factors beyond our control, including customs checks and shipping delays, free shipping to Hawaii and Puerto Rico is not an option. And we can not provide the 14-day quality guarantee for orders going to Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The buyer will assume all risk of damage when a delivery is delayed. We appreciate your understanding.
