About Aeonium Maybach (4 inch)

The Aeonium Maybach (4 inches) is a stunning succulent plant from the Mediterranean region. Its leaves are a striking blend of cream and green, with a regular crossing pattern that catches the eye. The leaves are slightly elongated, with a smooth and delicately serrated surface that exudes elegance. They are neatly arranged in a rosette formation that adds a touch of sophistication to any space. As the plant matures, the stem gradually elongates and forms a sturdy woody stem, adding to the plant's allure.

How to care for Aeonium Maybach (4 inch)

Sun/Temperature: Aeonium Maybach thrives in full sun and can be placed in a spot with either bright, diffused, or direct light. Remember that it's best to provide shade during summer to avoid the harsh, direct sunlight. For optimal growth, maintain temperatures between 65-75°F. Remember to relocate your plant to a warmer spot during the winter to prevent frostbite, significantly when temperatures drop below 30°F.

Soil/Watering: For optimal growth, Aeonium Maybach is best used in nutrient-rich soil mixed with 30-40% perlite, volcanic clay, or quartz sand. Remember that Aeonium Maybach is sensitive to overwatering, so only water should be used when the soil is arid, and ensure the water drains out of the bottom of the pot. Summer is a dormant period for this succulent you can water in small amounts for about 20 days.

Pot: Pots with drainage holes are suitable for their drainage requirements. In addition, Aeonium Maybach will grow taller, so a larger pot will suit this plant.

Propagation: Aeonium Maybach can be propagated by cutting or beheading. To propagate Aeonium Maybach, cut the succulent with a fishing line in the right place (6-8 leaves on the top) and leave it in an excellent place to dry out the wound. After the wounds have dried, insert them into dry soil and spray the surface of the soil with a small amount of water every 2-3 days using a spray bottle or dropper to keep the surface of the soil slightly moist, and then water the succulent using the soak and dry watering method once the roots have grown.

Fertilization: As a plant that grows in spring and fall and blooms in winter, it is ideal to fertilize your succulent in the spring and fall with a fertilizer specific to cacti and succulents. You can also fertilize with organic products, such as guano or herbivore manure.

Winter shipping

We insist on shipping succulents to our customers all year round. However due to the extreme winter weather, although we pack succulents with as much protective material as possible, plants are still at increased risk of frost on their way to colder areas. We highly recommend adding one 72-hour heat pack to your order or you can request a hold on the package until it warms up.

Please note that The Next Gardener is not responsible for packages that suffer cold damage without a heat pack. We cannot control the weather. Order at your own risk.

Hawaii, Alaska, and Other US Territories

Fortunately, shipping is available to Alaska, Guam, and other U.S. Territories. However, due to numerous factors beyond our control, including customs checks and shipping delays, free shipping to Hawaii and Puerto Rico is not an option. And we can not provide the 14-day quality guarantee for orders going to Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The buyer will assume all risk of damage when a delivery is delayed. We appreciate your understanding.
