About Aeonium Sedifolium/ Dwarf Aeonium
The leaves of Dwarf Aeonium are elongated ovate or club-shaped, ranging in color from deep green to yellow-green with reddish-brown stripes. The leaf surface is covered with fine hairs and slightly sticky, turning purplish-red when mature. In spring, it produces spectacular and colorful yellow flowers. After flowering, the branches may wither, but new growth will emerge from lateral buds, so there is no need to worry about the plant dying after flowering.
How to care for Aeonium Sedifolium/ Dwarf Aeonium
Sun/Temperature: Dwarf Aeonium prefers ample sunlight but should be protected from exposure to intense sunlight, especially during hot summers. It has a minimum tolerance temperature of 30 °F.
Soil/Watering: Use well-draining sandy or gravelly fertile soil to ensure rapid drainage. Water the plant when the soil is arid to avoid root rot caused by overwatering.
Pot: Opt for pots with drainage holes. Since it grows relatively fast, choose larger pots for planting.
Propagation: Aeonium Sedifolium can be propagated through stem cuttings. Use scissors to cut stems with attached leaves from the parent succulent, let the wounds dry, and then plant them in potting soil.
Fertilization: During the spring and early summer seasons, apply a diluted fertilizer once a month. However, exercise caution to prevent over-fertilization, which could potentially harm the plant.
