How to Care for Echeveria Agavoides 'Casio'
Sunlight/Location: Ideally, expose to ample sunlight during spring and autumn seasons, requiring at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Sun exposure enhances vibrant colors and promotes compact, upright growth habits. In temperatures exceeding 90 °F, provide shade or utilize shade cloth to prevent excessive sunlight exposure. If grown indoors, place near south-facing windows and transition outdoors for summer.
Watering: Ensure complete soil dryness before irrigation. Water generously, permitting surplus water drainage to prevent root rot conducive conditions. Direct water to the soil to prevent wetting the leaves. Reduce watering frequency during winter.
Soil: Opt for well-draining, airy substrates such as peat/coir mixed with perlite or gritty soil mixtures with a high proportion of coarse sand. For container planting, blend two parts succulent potting mix with one part perlite and one part coarse sand. Refrain from utilizing dense clay soils for outdoor cultivation.
Propagation: Typically occurs during the active growth periods of spring or summer. Most commonly propagated through offsets and beheading. Leaf propagation is possible but with low success rates. Seed propagation is feasible but less common.
