About Lithops Julii 'Kikusiyo Giyoku'
Lithops julii 'Kikusiyo Giyoku' is a small stemless species that can grow, forming clusters of 15 or more individuals. The paired leaves are grey-brown with brown to red markings on top. There is a 5-10 mm deep fissure separating the leaves. Daisy-like white flowers emerge from the aperture from midsummer to autumn. Occasionally, the characteristic slip-smear appears as edging or lining all along the outer margin.
How to care for Lithops Julii 'Kikusiyo Giyoku'
Sun/Temperature: Ensure Lithops julii 'Kikusiyo Giyoku' receives ample sunlight but avoids direct solid sunlight in summer. Therefore, it can be planted indoors on windowsills or in bright, sunny areas. They adapt to warm, dry climates, with the ideal temperature range being 60-80°F. Protect them from cold temperatures in winter by moving them indoors.
Soil/Watering: Choose well-draining mineral soil to prevent root rot. Watering should be done after the soil dries out to simulate their natural growing conditions.
Pot: Select pots with good ventilation and ensure they have drainage holes at the bottom. Smaller pots are recommended for better plant management.
Molting Period: After flowering in autumn and extending into winter, the plant requires less watering. New leaves formed inside the plant absorb moisture from the outer succulent leaves, causing them to shrivel until the old leaves are reduced to "thin paper shells."
