About Echeveria Fuwa

Echeveria Fuwa is a striking hybrid succulent plant, belonging to the Echeveria genus in the Crassulaceae family. This cutie features a compact rosette composed of fleshy, spoon-shaped leaves, which typically grow up to 4 inches in diameter. The foliages are a pale blue-green color with a powdery coating known as farina, which helps to protect the plant from excessive sun exposure. The leaves are arranged in a tight, symmetrical rosette, with each leaf curving slightly upwards towards the center of the plant. Echeveria Fuwa is known for its beautiful, bell-shaped flowers that bloom in late spring or early summer. The flowers themselves are a soft pink color with yellow centers, and they tend to attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies. It is a great choice for gardeners and collectors who are looking for a low-maintenance, yet visually stunning plant to add to their collection.

How to care for Echeveria Fuwa

Sun/Location: E. Fuwa prefers intensity and duration of sun exposure for at least 4-6 hours except in the scorching summer seasons, requiring shade with a sheer curtain. E. Fuwa is prone to be over-leggy and slender when the sunshine is not abundant as she loves. The optimal shape and color would develop when E. Fuwa is happily stressed.

Soil/Pot: E. Fuwa prefers a ventilated and breathable environment to thrive in, requiring adding granular soil into the potting soil to evaporate water smoothly. It is recommended to plant E. Fuwa in small pots to control the breeding to avoid growing over-leggy, affecting the beauty, as long as the pot is one circle larger than the plant can be, and then it is not too late to repot after the Fuwa burst.

Watering: Water E. Fuwa thoroughly but sparingly, following the Soak-and-Dry watering method. Generally, water E. Fuwa once a week during the growing season in spring to thrive and reduce watering to once every two weeks in the winter and summer to avoid waterlogging and rot roots. Water along the planter edge to the potting soil instead of the foliage, preventing rot roots or fungal diseases.

Temperature: E. Fuwa thrives in warm temperatures between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove this cutie indoors in freezing winter, preventing frost from the extremely severe weather. Supply this stunner with a growth light and garden fleece or blanket to avoid freezing their leaves.

Fertilizer: E. Fuwa benefits from regular fertilization during the growing season in spring and autumn. It is adaptable to dilute the fertilizer to half the recommended strength and to apply it only to moist potting soil to avoid burn or other issues.

Winter shipping

We insist on shipping succulents to our customers all year round. We highly recommend adding one 72-hour heat pack to your order or you can request a hold on the package until it warms up.

Please note that The Next Gardener is not responsible for packages that suffer cold damage without a heat pack. We cannot control the weather. Order at your own risk.

Fortunately, shipping is available to Alaska, Guam, and other U.S. Territories. However, due to numerous factors beyond our control, including customs checks and shipping delays, free shipping to Hawaii and Puerto Rico is not an option. And we can not provide the 14-day quality guarantee for orders going to Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The buyer will assume all risk of damage when a delivery is delayed. We appreciate your understanding.
