About Echeveria 'Ramillette' (4 inch)

Echeveria 'Ramillette' is a cross succulent between E. 'Tippy' and E. setosa var. ciliata, belonging to the Echeveria genus in the Crassulaceae family. The obovate-shaped frosty green plum and lump foliage tipped with reddish apex form the small compact rosette, which grows up to 4" in diameter and easily generates offsets to form a large clump. The yellow-orange bell-shaped blossoms appear on the stalks in winter and early spring, adding enchantingly appeal to this plant.

How to care for Echeveria 'Ramillette' (4 inch)

Sun/Location: E.'Ramillette prefers light shade sun exposure in the growing period to develop the pronounced color and rosette shape. A shade net or shed is obligatory to avoid being sunburnt in intense hot summer. Artificial growth light is integral to keeping from frost in harsh winter. E.'Ramillette' is also vulnerable to breeding insect pests of insufficient sunshine, worse ventilation in winter, and elevated temperatures in spring. Hence, please pay attention to pest management during these seasons.

Soil/Pot: E.'Ramillette is prone to get sick without ventilated and porous potting soil. Blend peat moss, vermiculite, and perlite into the cactus or succulent soil mix, improving the drainage and permeability to avoid soggy potting soil. The moderate amount of crushed bones is an extra addition to the blending. Choose a well-drained container or pot for your baby succulent with excellent permeability and a good drainage hole. Repot in warm spring to upgrade the growth environment, and trim the roots and wrinkled blades at the bottom to help E.'Ramillette regenerates healthier.

Watering: Same as most Echeveria succulents, E.'Ramillette is drought-tolerant. It requires water occasionally and sparingly. E.'Ramillette does not like to sit in the wet potting soil. The soak-and-dry method is generally applied when the potting soil is bone dry. The immersive watering method is also recommendable if placed in a ventilated and breathable location. What‘s more suitable water is rainwater, distilled water, or filtered water to avoid the mineral deposit. Be careful to water along the edge of the pot to the potting soil instead of the rosette and foliage, preventing waterlogging, bacteria, and fungal diseases.

Winter shipping

We insist on shipping succulents to our customers all year round. However due to the extreme winter weather, although we pack succulents with as much protective material as possible, plants are still at increased risk of frost on their way to colder areas. We highly recommend adding one 72-hour heat pack to your order or you can request a hold on the package until it warms up.

Please note that The Next Gardener is not responsible for packages that suffer cold damage without a heat pack. We cannot control the weather. Order at your own risk.

Hawaii, Alaska, and Other US Territories

Fortunately, shipping is available to Alaska, Guam, and other U.S. Territories. However, due to numerous factors beyond our control, including customs checks and shipping delays, free shipping to Hawaii and Puerto Rico is not an option. And we can not provide the 14-day quality guarantee for orders going to Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The buyer will assume all risk of damage when a delivery is delayed. We appreciate your understanding.
