This shelf is an interesting piece with a very practical and graceful concept, although it could benefit from some improvements.
The design is clean and elegant, with pleasing shapes, and while it plays with curved and twisted lines, it doesn't become overly elaborate.
In my opinion, one of its best attributes is its ability to fold, which makes it easy to store and transport in case of moving, storms, or if you simply want to relocate it. Its second-best attribute is its lightness; it's not heavy because the bars that form it are hollow.
Due to its semi-circular shape, it can be used against a vertical surface or (if you have the space) paired with another identical one, forming a beautiful circular shelf. Although it has three levels, the height is a bit low for my taste, but this can also be an advantage if it's used as a complementary piece of furniture, if you're looking for an element that doesn't compete in size with others you already have or if you just happen to have a small garden space.
Regarding quality, I notice some points that could be improved:
The hinges are short and somewhat weak.
Some of the welding points are very small, sometimes barely joining the two pieces they're trying to adhere to, which creates vulnerable areas and reduces the furniture's strength and durability.
Although it's promoted as outdoor furniture (which is why I originally made the purchase), it tends to rust quickly if used in a humid climate with frequent rain (like Florida's), so I ended up using it on the covered, open-air terrace.
However, my biggest complaint regarding this item is not so much the manufacturing defects (which are somewhat acceptable), but the poor packaging from the factory, which exposes it to severe damage as a result of rough handling during transportation.
This is the second piece of furniture I've received; the first arrived so damaged and bent that two of its legs were completely ineffective, and it couldn't stand on its own. Fortunately, TNG's customer service is excellent, and they not only gave me a full refund but also didn't require me to return the damaged item. Thanks to that, I was able to place a second order later.
Fortunately, this second one, although it didn't arrive completely undamaged, only suffered a small twist in one of its legs that doesn't affect functionality and can be considered a cosmetic defect. So,transportation is a lottery, and I was lucky this second time.
I believe that if the furniture's protection and packaging were improved at the factory, it would be a safer and smoother purchase. However, having the support of TNG's customer service is always reassuring.
In conclusion, it's a shelf that adds beauty, versatility, and allows us to make better use of the space in our garden, it could perform excellently if used under cover and acceptably if outdoors. It's practical and lightweight, suitable for use with different sizes of pots (although not very small ones because they might lack stability between the bars) and accommodates a good number of plants with its three height levels.
In my opinion, the list price is a bit high for the quality (since it's mass-produced furniture without strict quality control), but if you buy it on sale or with a good discount like those that TNG often offers, it's a good purchase—even better if the carrier doesn't damage it during transport.
