How to care for Crassula Ovata Crosby's Compact (Dwarf Jade Plant), 6" to 8" tall
Sun/Temperature: You can place it on a balcony or windowsill to receive ample sunlight. During summer, the Dwarf Jade Plant enters a semi-dormant state, so provide shade to avoid direct sunlight exposure. In winter, ensure temperatures do not drop below 30°F.
Soil/Watering: Choose well-draining soil, preferably a mix of soil, loam, coconut coir, perlite, or clay pellets. Water should be used using the dry and soak watering method, and waterlogging should be avoided.
Pot: Use pots with drainage holes to maintain soil dryness. Opting for pots with legs and drainage holes provides better ventilation for the roots.
Propagation: You can propagate it using stem cuttings. Select healthy stems, sterilize scissors, cut, and let the wounds dry before inserting them into dry soil to wait for rooting.
Fertilization: It thrives with occasional fertilization. Apply a thin application of a compound fertilizer containing a variety of micronutrients every other month during the growing season in the spring and fall.
