About Echeveria 'Blushing Dawn'
Echeveria 'Blushing Dawn' is a stunning hybrid succulent prized for its symmetrical, lotus-like rosette. Its thick, spoon-shaped leaves feature a bright lime green base, highlighted by delicate pink to reddish margins. As the name suggests, this Echeveria "blushes" with deeper colors when exposed to bright sunlight or cooler temperatures, making it a dynamic centerpiece for any collection.
How to Care for Echeveria 'Blushing Dawn'
Sun/Location: To maintain its compact shape and vibrant orange pink, this succulent requires plenty of bright, filtered light. Indoors, a south-facing window is ideal. If the plant begins to stretch (etiolate), it needs more light. In summer, protect it from intense, direct midday sun to prevent leaf scorch.
Soil/Pot: Drainage is the priority. Use a high-quality cactus or succulent mix. You can enhance drainage by mixing in 50% gritty material such as perlite, pumice, or coarse sand. Always use a pot with a drainage hole to prevent moisture from trapping at the roots.
Watering: Follow the "soak and dry" method. Water the soil directly until it runs out of the drainage hole, then wait for the soil to dry out completely before watering again. Avoid getting water trapped in the center of the rosette, as this can lead to rot.
