About Echeveria Hybrid Carmine

Echeveria Hybrid 'Carmine' is a hybrid succulent said to carry genetic traits of Echeveria agavoides. When not in its peak coloration, its appearance closely resembles Echeveria chihuahuaensis; however, its leaves are thicker than those of E. chihuahuaensis, and it grows at a slower pace, classifying it as a small-sized succulent variety. Once it reaches its peak condition, Echeveria Hybrid 'Carmine' becomes more tightly compact in rosette. Most notably, its leaf tips elongate and sharpen significantly, while the foliage shifts in color from green to an orange-red hue—a stunningly beautiful and captivating look, beautifully complemented by its long, dark-red leaf tips.

How to Care for Echeveria Hybrid Carmine

Sun/Location: Echeveria Hybrid Carmine shows good resistance to stretching in lower-light conditions, but it thrives best in bright, indirect light or with a few hours of gentle morning sun. In hot climates, providing partial afternoon shade helps prevent leaf scorch and keeps the plant healthy and vibrant.

Soil/Pot: Plant Echeveria Hybrid Carmine in a porous, fast-draining succulent mix enriched with additional pumice and perlite. Terracotta or ceramic pots with drainage holes are highly recommended, as they improve airflow around the roots and help excess moisture evaporate efficiently, reducing the risk of root rot.

Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering deeply. During the active growing seasons (spring and autumn), watering is usually needed every 1–2 weeks, depending on the climate. Reducing watering in winter is essential, as the plant enters dormancy and excess moisture may lead to root frost or rot. If winter care conditions are difficult to manage, keeping the succulent completely dry is often the safest option. In summer, it is best to water after sunset and place the plant in a well-ventilated area afterward to improve moisture evaporation. Poor airflow combined with summer heat can easily increase the risk of rot after watering.

Winter shipping
