-About Echeveria The Next Gardener Meiya-

Echeveria The Next Gardener Meiya is a brand-exclusive succulent to The Next Gardener, belonging to the Echeveria genus in the Crassulaceae family. This striking succulent is a hybrid variety with unique leaf characteristics, including a rosette-forming growth habit and tightly packed, plump leaves. Echeveria The Next Gardener Meiya leaves are smooth, ovate, and slightly curved, with a pointed tip and from blue-green to pink mauve that ranges from pale to intense hues. The foliage is adorned with a white powdery coating, known as farina, which gives them a frosted appearance and helps to protect them from the sun. Unlike some other Echeveria varieties, Echeveria The Next Gardener Meiya tends to bloom small, bell-shaped pink or red flowers in clusters at the base of the rosette, adding a unique touch to any succulent plant collection.

-How to care for Echeveria The Next Gardener Meiya-

Sun/Location: E. The Next Gardener Meiya feels happy to be exposed to bright but indirect sunlight. Like most Echeveria succulents, this cutie is adapted to thrive in sunny locations, but direct sunlight can burn the leaves and result in them to discolor. E. The Next Gardener Meiya will benefit from filtered light during midday hours. E. The Next Gardener Meiya would turn over-leggy and slender with little sun exposure, making it necessary to absorb abundant morning sunlight.

Soil/Pot: E. The Next Gardener Meiya feels happy to thrive in the porous and ventilated potting soil with fluffy materials such as perlite or pumice, evaporating the moisture smoothly to develop healthy roots. Choose an excellent airflow container to stay away from rot roots and leaves. Repot when needed to upgrade the potting mix to improve the porosity. Brush away the original soil and sparingly discard any infected or overgrown foliage. Go halfway and give your Echeveria The Next Gardener Meiya a nice trim, helping Echeveria The Next Gardener Meiya grow bigger and healthier!

Watering: The soak-and-dry method is generally applied when the upper potting soil is bone dry. The immersive watering method is also recommendable if placed in a ventilated and breathable location. Water more often correspondingly during the growing seasons in spring and autumn while lessening the watering in summer to prevent root rot, bacteria, and fungal diseases and in winter to keep comparatively dry. Clean up the stagnant water at the bottom of the planter tray in time.

Humidity: Generally speaking, the optimal humidity range for Echeveria The Next Gardener Meiya is between 30% and 50%, which means that this cutie can thrive in dry indoor environments and does not require additional humidity support. E. The Next Gardener Meiya is a relatively low-maintenance plant regarding humidity requirements. As long as this cutie is not exposed to excessively dry or humid conditions, preventing rot roots or fungal diseases.

Propagation: Propagat E. The Next Gardener Meiya through leaf and stem cuttings, offsets, and seeds. Leaf cuttings should be allowed to callus over before planting in well-drained potting soil in a shaded location. Plant the stem cuttings in ventilated and porous soil and kept in the shade until they have established a root system. Gently remove offsets from the base of the parent plant and plant in their container. Seed propagation is also possible but requires specific growing conditions and patience.
