  • Haworthia coarctata, a well-known species in the Haworthia genus, is originally from South Africa. They have fleshy, firm, tough leaves with dark green color, which will turn purple-red when grown in the full sun. The leaves form a tight rosette tower growing upright that is up to 8'' tall. The green leaves have slightly raised little white warts.
  • Besides the right succulent pot, using well-drainage succulent soil is also helpful. You can simply add perlite, or gritty rocks to standard potting soil to create your own soil. Watch the video below to get the full guide to DIY succulent soil.
  • If you don't expect their rich colors, Haworthia coarctata is able to adapt to low light environments, such as your office or department desktop, glass terrariums, wall planters, and succulent arrangements.
