About the Maifanitum Stones
Maifanitum Stones are versatile granular soil recognized by experienced gardeners. As a naturally occurring material from volcanic eruptions, they possess porosity, are lightweight, and are soft. Our Maifanitum Stones, sized 3-6mm, are preliminarily cleaned of dust and can be directly used for top dressing small potted plants like succulents, aloe vera, and cacti. They are believed to contain trace elements that help improve soil quality and purify water sources, benefiting succulent growth.
How to Use Maifanitum Stones
Succulent Soil Addition: Adding Maifanitum Stones to soil aids drainage. We recommend mixing 50%-70% Maifanitum Stones into succulent potting soil to reduce the risk of root rot.
Succulent Soil: Some avid succulent enthusiasts even prefer using Maifanitum Stones for planting succulents. Although this inorganic material is low in nutrients, it offers good drainage, allowing better control over succulent shape and color. Directly planting succulents in Maifanitum Stones is generally not recommended as it may not be conducive to succulent growth.
Top Dressing: With a naturally rough texture and golden hue, Maifanitum Stones can be used as a top dressing to adorn succulents. Their super-lightweight nature exerts minimal pressure on succulent roots and prevents soil splashing during watering.
