About Echeveria ‘Blue Surprise’

Echeveria ‘Blue Surprise’ rosette succulent got its name due to its beautiful gradient color of light blue and light purple leaves. People also call it a purple surprise. As this delightful succulent thrives, it surprises with a transformation into a captivating solid pink hue.

How to care for Echeveria ‘Blue Surprise’

Sun/Location: Like other soft succulents, Echeveria ‘Blue Surprise’ can't survive outdoors in cold winter. During this period, it is advisable to bring the plant indoors and position it near a sunlit window, allowing it to receive ample sunlight. Alternatively, placing the succulent under a grow light can also provide the necessary light intensity.

Soil/Pot: Succulent plants prefer loose, low-fertilizer succulent soil to thrive, to ensure the health of succulents, they need porous, well-draining soil to live in. Topdressing rocks can make them prettier and cleaner. Give plants a good drink after a week to reduce root rot.

Watering: Succulents, including Echeveria 'Blue Surprise,' have low water requirements and dislike being in excessively damp soil. The most effective watering method for this succulent is the soak-and-dry technique. By following this approach, you can help maintain the succulent's health and vitality. Winter shipping

We insist on shipping succulents to our customers all year round. However due to the extreme winter weather, although we pack succulents with as much protective material as possible, plants are still at increased risk of frost on their way to colder areas. We highly recommend adding one 72-hour heat pack to your order or you can request a hold on the package until it warms up.

Please note that The Next Gardener is not responsible for packages that suffer cold damage without a heat pack. We cannot control the weather. Order at your own risk.

Hawaii, Alaska, and Other US Territories

Fortunately, shipping is available to Alaska, Guam, and other U.S. Territories. However, due to numerous factors beyond our control, including customs checks and shipping delays, free shipping to Hawaii and Puerto Rico is not an option. And we can not provide the 14-day quality guarantee for orders going to Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The buyer will assume all risk of damage when a delivery is delayed. We appreciate your understanding.
