About the Upgraded Organic Succulent and Cactus Soil
Upgraded Soil Recipe: Compared with our 1.0 succulent soil mix, we upgraded the soil recipe by adding 30% forest gold and other materials to the soil, resulting in faster drainage and better root promotion. Ideal for the rooted succulents to grow stronger and healthier roots.
Excellent Drainage Soil: The top ''killer'' for succulent plants is overwatering. This upgraded soil is like a ''BREATHABLE SMART SPONGE'', light in texture, and comes with excellent drainage and air circulation. After 2 years of practical tests, the succulents rooted in upgraded soil are more viable and stronger than those planted in the 1.0 soil mix especially when succulents enter the dormant period. The survival rate is higher!
Friendly for Succulents: This soil is friendly for ''sensitive to water'' succulent varieties such as Echeveria Ice Green and Graptoveria Lovely Rose. The surface of the soil would be clean and dry after watering so the bottom leaves of plants won't sit in moist soil for a long time, which reduces rot leaves or some fungal diseases.
Ready to Use: Upgraded succulent soil can be used without mixing any other additions, and won't get hardened even after a long time of use. Please note that the roots of plants will change color temporarily from white to yellow when the soil is dry, which is normal and won't harm your plants.
Highly Recommend: We highly recommend this soil to succulent or houseplant providers that are troubled by packing and shipping. You can transplant the plants into our soil when the roots come out. And when they are ready to get shipped, the roots will thrive to firmly grasp the soil in the pot. No mess at all!
How to use the succulent potting soil
Direct Use for Potted Succulents: Beginners can directly utilize our Upgraded Organic Succulent and Cactus Soil for potting 2-inch succulent plants or for propagating succulent leaves and cuttings.
Gritty Soil Mix Incorporation: To enhance drainage, mix 50-70% gritty soil mix into the succulent potting soil. This ratio is suitable for outdoor succulents, 4-inch succulents, and larger sizes. Before use, ensure the soil is slightly moist: if the soil is completely dry, lightly mist with water, then thoroughly mix until the soil feels slightly damp but not wet to the touch.
Watering: When using slightly moist soil for potting or repotting succulents, you may temporarily refrain from watering. Approximately one week later, water thoroughly near the base of the plant or from the bottom.
