Upgraded Soil Recipe

Compared with our 1.0 succulent soil mix, we upgraded the soil recipe by adding 30% forest gold and other materials to the soil, resulting in faster drainage and better root promotion. Ideal for the rooted succulents to grow stronger and healthier roots.

Excellent Drainage Soil

The top ''killer'' for succulent plants is overwatering. This upgraded soil is like a ''BREATHABLE SMART SPONGE'', light in texture, and comes with excellent drainage and air circulation. After 2 years of practical tests, the succulents rooted in upgraded soil are more viable and stronger than those planted in the 1.0 soil mix especially when succulents enter the dormant period. The survival rate is higher!

Friendly for Succulents

This soil is friendly for ''sensitive to water'' succulent varieties such as Echeveria Ice Green and Graptoveria Lovely Rose. The surface of the soil would be clean and dry after watering so the bottom leaves of plants won't sit in moist soil for a long time, which reduces rot leaves or some fungal diseases.

Ready to Use

Upgraded succulent soil can be used without mixing any other additions, and won't get hardened even after a long time of use. Please note that the roots of plants will change color temporarily from white to yellow when the soil is dry, which is normal and won't harm your plants.

Highly Recommend

We highly recommend this soil to succulent or houseplant providers that are troubled by packing and shipping. You can transplant the plants into our soil when the roots come out. And when they are ready to get shipped, the roots will thrive to firmly grasp the soil in the pot. No mess at all!
Shipping

We pack all shipments by hand.

We have many years of experience shipping live succulents and cactus plants. We pay close attention to packing and have developed an expert shipping method. All succulents are packed and protected with polypropylene cotton (this is a stuffing used for dolls). We find this is the most effective material for protecting live plants while in transit. It is important to us that you are able to Keep going and Keep growing without any stress about the quality of the product or packaging.

Shipping Speed

In general, it takes 3 to 10 days for plants to arrive after you place your order. All orders will be shipped out 48 hours after you place them. We ship the orders on work days(from Monday to Saturday) and all year round. In normal conditions, it will take 3-10 days for you to receive the package. Estimated shipping times are offered as needed.

HOLIDAYS: During weeks in which a holiday occurs - Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, etc. - shipping may be delayed until the following week.

EXTREME WEATHER NOTICE: The Next Gardener reserves the right to hold shipments during storms or periods of extreme heat or cold. This is to ensure your plant does not suffer while it is in transit.

Winter shipping

We insist on shipping succulents to our customers all year round. However due to the extreme winter weather, although we pack succulents with as much protective material as possible, plants are still at increased risk of frost on their way to colder areas. We highly recommend adding one 72-hour heat pack to your order or you can request a hold on the package until it warms up.

Please note that The Next Gardener is not responsible for packages that suffer cold damage without a heat pack. We cannot control the weather. Order at your own risk.

Hawaii, Alaska, and Other US Territories

Fortunately, shipping is available to Alaska, Guam, and other U.S. Territories. However, due to numerous factors beyond our control, including customs checks and shipping delays, free shipping to Hawaii and Puerto Rico is not an option. And we can not provide the 14-day quality guarantee for orders going to Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The buyer will assume all risk of damage when a delivery is delayed. We appreciate your understanding.

Sorry. No International Shipping for now!!!

Pretty lightweight. Never used before. I'm hopeful my cactus flourish with it.

Amazing

I had to repot my poor plant cuz he was getting pretty big for his pot, so I was looking up soil, and he’s now thriving! Super happy with the cost and he’s very happy. It’s now been a few months and he’s even grown a little more since these were taken. Really happy I got this soil over others.

eally good succulent soil

I use as much as I need and can store the rest. unlike the HomeDepot garbage that kept rotting and molding like 2 weeks after I open it even in the hot dry summer. This is a great alternative, I feel like it's much more breathable and doesn't get wasted if I don't use it all in one repotting phase. My plants seem to like it, they grow quite fast after getting swapped to this.

Perfect, Easter cactus is ecstatic.

I have a 17 year old Easter Cactus that is very special to me, also 'babies ' that I have planted from fallen leaves. I wanted to make sure I was getting premium soil for them all. I replanted 2 of them and had to get another bag. The 2 I replanted are doing incredibly well. I also used vitamin B1 to help counteract shock. I am very pleased and impressed with the personal email I received from the sellers. I will definitely continue to do business with them. Thanks so much for making my precious cactus happy!
