Echeveria 'Blue Peacock' (Rare)
About Echeveria 'Blue Peacock'
Echeveria 'Blue Peacock' is a rare species of Echeveria Red Velvet with a delicate and stunning appearance, belonging to the Echeveria genus in the Crassulaceae family. This cutie distinctively features thick pinkish waxy cuticles, preventing it from losing water and sunburn. The plump and lush obovate-shaped reddish-pinkish leaves with acuminate apex and blood dapple form the compact and full rosette, enhancing the aesthetic of this cutie. The leaves are relatively thick with short and fine hairs covering their surfaces, giving them a soft and velvety feel. The edges of the leaves are usually slightly curled upward, creating a gentle and warm feeling. The deep red leaves covered with the fuzzy covering create a unique texture and visual effect that is excessively attractive in well-lit environments, making this cutie popular in succulents collections.
How to care for Echeveria 'Blue Peacock'
Sun/Location: Echeveria 'Blue Peacock' prefers intensity and duration of full sun to partial shade exposure for at least 4-6 hours except in the scorching summer seasons, requiring shade with a sheer curtain. Echeveria 'Blue Peacock' is prone to be over leggy and slender when the sunshine is not sufficient as she loves. The deep red dapple and thick farina would develop when Echeveria 'Blue Peacock' thrives in abundant sunlight.
Soil/Pot: Echeveria 'Blue Peacock' hates soggy potting soil, requiring loose and breathable succulent soil, such as blending peat and coconut bran into the granular soil, evaporating the moisture smoothly to develop healthy roots. Repot in warm spring or early summer to upgrade the potting mix to improve the porosity. Clean away the original soil and sparingly cut any infected or overgrown roots of your succulents using gardening tools. Squeeze the roots and dirt gently, and the soil quickly falls apart. Apply antibacterial soap water on infected parts, or alcohol spray to kill those bacteria or fungal spread and promise healthy growth. Click here to learn how to use neem oil on succulent plants.
Watering: Echeveria 'Blue Peacock' is drought-tolerant, like most resilient ornament succulents. The soak-and-dry method is adapted when the upper potting soil is bone dry. Place the succulent planter on the saucer full of water, and allow your baby succulent to soak up the water they need. Remove them from the tray once the top layer of soil is slightly moist. Reduce watering in summer to prevent root rot, bacteria, and fungal diseases. Keep comparatively dry in winter to go through the dormant period.
Humidity: Keeping the air humidity at 40%-60% is an ideal environment for Echeveria 'Blue Peacock' growth to shape the optimal delicate texture. The moist conditions could encourage insect pests and fungal diseases. Echeveria 'Blue Peacock' prefers a warm and dry climate, avoiding a sultry and humid environment. Pay attention to shelter in the rainy seasons. Click here to learn how humidity affect succulent plants.

Winter shipping
We insist on shipping succulents to our customers all year round.
