Succulents have become very trendy over the years due to their unique and attractive appearance, as well as their low maintenance requirements.
The low maintenance and easy propagation of succulents have endeared them to novice gardeners—you almost can't kill them, as you can continually propagate succulents from stems or leaves.
Generally speaking, there are many ways to propagate live succulents: leaf propagation, stem-cutting propagation, beheading propagation, offset propagation, and seed propagation.

Succulents with a 100% success rate in stem propagation
There are several succulents that are great for propagating stem cuttings. Some of the best options include jade plants, snake plants, and Christmas cacti. These plants are relatively easy to propagate and can quickly grow into new plants with proper care.
1. Sedum Succulents: Sedum Morganianum Burrito; Sedum Adolphi; Sedum Treleasei
2. Crassula Succulents: Jade Plant; Crassula Ovata 'Gollum'; Crassula 'Tom Thumb'; Crassula 'Baby's Necklace'
3. Cotyledon Succulents: Cotyledon Pendens; Cotyledon Tomentosa; Cotyledon Orbiculata cv.
4. Senecio Succulents: String of Pearls; Senecio Jacobsenii; String of Dolphins
Let's start it!
1. Cut off a piece of the succulent just above a leaf on the stem.
2. Remove the bottom leaves like 1-2 inches
3. Place the cuttings in a well-ventilated and bright area (avoid direct sunlight) to allow the wounds to callus until they turn white.
4. Before planting, moisten the succulent soil and insert your cuttings 1/2 to 2 inches into the soil.
5. Place the pot in airy location with indirect sunlight. The roots will come out in 2-4 weeks. Never water them in first week.
6. You can start watering the soil from second week. Do remember only watering them when the cactus soil mix dries out.
7. Add a layer of top dressing on the surface of soil mix, which can add more weight to planter and help stem cutting stand straight into soil.
Propagating succulents from stem cuttings is a simpler and more accessible method for gardeners compared to doing so from leaves or seeds. It's an excellent option for rejuvenating an aged plant, creating a backup for a beloved succulent, or expanding your succulent collection. Being patient during the propagation process can bring added joy to the experience.
